PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an image processing apparatus which performs optimal image processing according to the number of lines of a dot region in the image including the dot region and can improve in the quality of the image. SOLUTION: As color conversion processing to image data expressed with an RGB signal, color correction processing by a color correction part 26, and a black formation under color removing processing by a black formation under color removing part 27 are performed. In order to perform this color conversion processing, in the color correction part 26 and the black formation under color removing part 27, the number of dot lines recognized in a number-of-dot lines recognizing part 23 is inputted, and the content of the processing is switched on the basis of the number of the dot lines.
