PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user of image data to easily relevant information related to the image data. SOLUTION: An information providing device comprises a first information acquisition part acquiring first information showing the attribute of first image data; a second information acquisition part acquiring a plurality of pieces of second information showing attributes of a plurality of second image data; a retrieval part retrieving, based on the first information and the second information, a plurality of similar image data having attributes similar to the first image data from the plurality of second image data; an image evaluation part ranking or classifying, based on the first information and the second information related to the similar image data, the plurality of retrieved similar image data; and a display formation part forming display data in which information related to the retrieved similar image data is arranged according to the ranking or classification.
