PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating device for actualizing highly efficient operation when applying a compressor having an intermediate pressure portion, and to provide a refrigerator with the refrigerating device. SOLUTION: The refrigerating device 30 comprises the compressor 1, a radiator 2, an expansion valve 3, a gas-liquid separator 4, and a heat absorbing means 8 into which liquid refrigerant going out of the gas-liquid separator is distributed, wherein the refrigerant going out of the heat absorbing means 8 can be introduced into a suction port of the compressor 1. It has a refrigerant pipe through which gas refrigerant to be separated by the gas-liquid separator 4 is introduced into the intermediate pressure portion of the compressor 1, and a refrigerant pipe through which intermediate pressure refrigerant in the compressor 1 is introduced into the gas-liquid separator 4.
