PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a shell 25 from damaging due to an edge 26a of a needle roller 26 when a pinion shaft 5 deflects, in a needle bearing 14 to support one end of the pinion shaft 5. SOLUTION: The needle bearing 14 to support one end of the pinion shaft 5 is pressed into a fit-in hole 23 formed in a bearing 15 of a housing. The edge 26a at the pinion 6 side of the needle roller 26 is protruded from a starting point 23a at the pinion side 6 of the fit-in hole 23 toward the pinion 6 side by a length A. Thereby, when the pinion shaft 5 deflects by the load received by the pinion 6, the load concentration of the shell 25 hit by the edge 26a of the needle roller 26 can be made free, so that the shell 25 can be protected from damaging without crushing the shell 25 between the edge 26a of the needle roller 26 and the inner peripheral surface of the fit-in hole 23.
