PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driving posture monitoring device which enables to drive a pile in a correct posture when the pile constituting a foundation of a house or the like is driven, and to provide a pile driving posture monitoring method. SOLUTION: The pile driving posture monitoring device S functions to ensure the accuracy of the posture of the pile 3 when driven into the ground, and has at least two measuring members 1 which are arranged around the pile 3 almost horizontally with respect to the ground surface such that their central axes intersect each other. Each measuring member 1 is disposed so as to make contact with the pile 3, and progresses/recedes according to the posture of the pile 3 when driven into the ground. The measuring member 1 is comprised of an indicating means 20 for indicating a state in which the pile 3 is erected in an appropriate posture, as an appropriate posture, and indicating that the pile 3 is in an inappropriate posture when the posture of the pile 3 is changed.
