摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal-storage correcting method of a thermal head, which eliminates the effect of the thermal storage by improving the accuracy of heat-history correction even for the print size in which the recording length in the sub-scanning direction such as 2L and 3L gets longer, a thermal printer and a thermal-storage correcting program. SOLUTION: A glaze layer 21 is provided on one surface of a ceramic substrate 22, and many heating elements 16a are arranged line-shaped in the glaze layer 21 in the direction for main scanning. An aluminum plate 23 is provided on other surface of the ceramic substrate 22. The glaze layer 21, ceramic substrate 22 and aluminum plate 23 are used as a heat-storage layer for storing a part of the heat from the heating element 16a. The part of each heat-storage layer which is located in the part just above the heating element 16a is defined as the first representative points Pg1, Pc1, Pa1, and the part separated from the first representative points in the direction of sub scanning is defined as the second representative points Pg2, Pc2. Considering the heat-storage state in the representative points Pg1, Pc1, Pa1, Pg2, Pc2, the heat-storage correcting data is acquired. Since the two representative points separated in the direction of sub scanning consider the heat-storage state of each heat-storage layer, the accuracy of the heat-storage correction can be improved.
