PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill which is provided with a coolant device which can properly supply a coolant suitable to warm rolling and with which ordinary cold rolling can be performed without hinderance and a rolling method of a strip (steel sheet) using the rolling mill. SOLUTION: The coolant device of a rolling mill comprises roll cooling sprays 3 for blowing the coolant for cooling to the work rolls WR of the rolling mill 1, lubricating sprays 4 for blowing the coolant for lubrication in the upstream of the inlet side of the rolling mill, a warm rolling cooling coolant tank 5 for storing the coolant in which rolling oil is not contained or rolling oil is incorporated very slightly and used for exclusively used for the warm rolling, a warm rolling lubricating coolant tank 6 in which high concentration coolant having high-concentration rolling oil which is used for rolling lubrication by blowing from the lubrication sprays 4 to the strip at warm rolling is stored, and a coolant tank 7 for cold rolling in which low concentration coolant having the rolling oil of low concentration which is mainly used for cold rolling is stored.
