<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new interest in image pickup by utilizing an image recognition technique without especially limiting a recognition object. <P>SOLUTION: When the camera unit 7 of a portable game device 1000 is activated, a finder image is displayed on a display 1. When a bait selecting operation is input in the state of photographing an object OB3, the kind of bait is selected by moving a cursor CS on the displayed list LS of the kinds of the bait and then a bait dispersion executing operation is input, the image of selected bait A is combined with the finder image and displayed (a). Then, when the image of the same object OB3 is picked up (shutter is turned ON) after the lapse of prescribed time, the image of a ghost GS3 corresponding to the dispersed bait A is combined with the picked-up image and displayed.
