<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loudness level meter for stereophonic sound that can display a loudness level of stereophonic sound obtained by reproducing sound signals of a plurality of channels as one numerical value. <P>SOLUTION: The loudness level meter for stereophonic sound includes a means 1 for calculating stereophonic sound energy for each frequency band, which calculates stereophonic sound energy E(n) for each frequency band by adding sound energy e(m, n) for each frequency band for every channel of all of the channels for every frequency band after calculating the sound energy e(m, n) (1≤m≤M, 1≤n≤N) for each frequency band for every channel being the sound energy for each of a plurality (=N) of the predetermined frequency bands regarding each of the sound signals S(m) of a plurality (=M) of the channels for reproduction of the stereophonic sound, and a means 2 for calculating stereophonic sound loudness which calculates the stereophonic sound loudness L when the sound signals of a plurality of the channels are stereophonically reproduced on the basis of the stereophonic sound energy E(n) for each frequency band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
