<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method comprising easily and efficiently obtaining a microorganism group having aimed function from a tested specimen obtained from the natural environment or the like and obtaining a gene having the aimed function from the microorganism group. <P>SOLUTION: The method for obtaining the functional gene from the tested specimen comprises the step of separating the microorganism group in the tested specimen into multiple groups by flow cytometry, the step of specifying a group containing microorganisms having the aimed function from the separated groups, and the step of extracting the gene having the aimed function from the specified group and retrieving the objective gene. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
