<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact suit expansion type life vest for swimming with easy attachment/detachment being directly wound and attached to a body part of swimming suit figure at swimming such as sea bathing or the like and capable of being used from a small child to an adult regardless of gender. <P>SOLUTION: In the compact suit expansion type life vest for swimming, a gas filling device 22 and a gas hose vessel 20 are formed in a floating unit 10 and it is deaerated, folded and stored at the inside of a floating unit storage band 1. The floating unit 10 and the floating unit storage band 1 are connected by a connection string 15. It is wound around the body part in the integrated state and both end connection parts of the floating unit storage band 1 and the floating unit 10 are connected/attached respectively. The gas filling device 22 is operated by pulling an operation string 17 by manual operation at emergency and the gas is filled in the floating unit 10.
