PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component in which the degree of freedom for forming a gap in a magnetic path is raised furthermore.

SOLUTION: The coil component 1 comprises a coil formed along one plane, an upper ferrite core 11 and a lower ferrite core 12 arranged to sandwich the coil from the opposite sides. An inner leg 122 extending to a region around the axis of a coil 34 is provided on the inner surface of the lower ferrite core 12 opposing the upper ferrite core 11, and an outer leg 112 extending to a region on the outside of the coil 34 is provided on the inner surface of the upper ferrite core 11 opposing the lower ferrite core 12. They are arranged such that the distance d2 between the lower ferrite core 12 and the outer leg 112 becomes substantially equal to the distance d1 between the upper ferrite core 11 and the inner leg 122.
