<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical apparatus and an electronic equipment capable of reducing power consumption during partial mode. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a display section which is equipped with a light source, having a plurality of light emitting sections, data lines and scanning lines for intersecting the data lines, and which displays an image by controlling light transmission rate from the light source according to an image signal; and a control means which controls lighting of the light emitting section, according to the image display of the display section, and in which, during the partial display mode, when displaying on a part of region along a direction to which the scanning lines of the display section extend, the light-emitting sections, corresponding to the part of region in the plurality of light emitting sections, are lighted on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
