PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device enabling a user to remember a correct operation procedure of processing whose operation procedure is not remembered by the user. SOLUTION: A retrieval keyword is set based on an input operation from a user (a step S23), and menu items relevant to the set retrieval keyword are retrieved from the respective menu items of a selection menu (a strep S24). Then, the user is notified of the operation procedure of the user necessary for selecting the retrieved menu items from the selection menu, by displaying a text explaining the operation procedure (a step S27), or continuously displaying the display contents of each hierarchy of the selection menu according to the operation procedure (a step S30).
