PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defective discharge in image recording after startup. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device 1 is equipped with: recording heads 31a to 31d to discharge inks toward a recording medium K; a cleaning portion 4 to perform the cleaning of the recording heads 31a to 31d; a storage portion 70 to store cleaning information of whether the cleaning process is finished; and a control portion 7 to control at least the cleaning portion 4. The control portion 7 makes the cleaning portion 4 perform cleaning when the cleaning is not finished and on the basis of the cleaning information stored in the storage portion 70 at the time of startup.
