PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dew condensation sensor which is applied in an electric equipment case, and to provide a method for manufacturing the dew condensation sensor. SOLUTION: The dew condensation sensor includes a substrate having at least two electrodes; at least two interdigital electrodes; and a detecting layer. Respective portions of the at least two interdigital electrodes are in contact with the two electrodes on the substrate. The detection layer includes a cellulose derivative and is formed on the at least two interdigital electrodes. The method for manufacturing the dew condensation sensor comprises a step (a) of preparing the substrate having the at least two electrodes, a conductive paste and a detection paste; a step (b) of coating the surface of the substrate with the conductive paste, forming the at least two interdigital electrodes so as to be separated from each other and to be out of contact with each other, and bringing the portions of the interdigital electrodes to contact with the two electrodes on the substrate; and a step (c) of coating the surface of the interdigital electrodes with the detecting paste and forming the detecting layer.
