PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the transit to a dive mode by the improper recognition without degrading the operability or reliability, and to release the dive mode only under the control of a user. SOLUTION: In a dive computer, a control unit 50 determines a dive state, and then, determines whether or not the determination of the dive state is an improper recognition state by the improper recognition. If it is determined that the determination is an improper recognition state, the fact that the determination is an improper recognition state is notified to a user via a checking unit 98, and inquires the user whether or not the improper state is released. When the instruction of the user is given via an improper recognition releasing unit 93, the improper recognition state is released, and the operating state in a dive mode transits to the operating state in a non-dive mode.
