PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet head in which lowering of drive voltage and/or high density arrangement of pressure chambers are achieved while ensuring minimum requirements for ink ejection. SOLUTION: A pressure chamber 16 is surrounded by a recessed wall body 36 having both side walls 36a and 36b and a top wall 36c. An actuator includes piezoelectric sheets 21b and 21d with a plurality of discrete electrodes 24 provided on the upper surface of the sheets 21b and 21d and piezoelectric sheets 21c and 21e with common electrodes 25 equal in size to the sheets 21b and 21d, formed on the upper surface of the sheets 21c and 21e. The actuator is fixed to a bulkhead 39 in an inactive part in active part intervals pinched between the discrete electrodes 24 and common electrodes 25. Through the operation of the actuator, both side walls 36a and 36b are bent to change the volume of the pressure chamber 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
