PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at the simplification of a vertical sending mechanism and seedlings-restricting structure of long length mat seedlings in a transplanter loading the long length mat seedlings wound as a roll-shape on its seedling-loading surface, sending the long length mat seedlings loaded on the seedling-loading surface to a seedling-taking out port at the lower part of the seedling-loading surface through the seedlings vertically sending mechanism, raking the seedling from the seedling-taking out port with a transplanting rod so as to transplant on the field. SOLUTION: This transplanter is provided by loading the long length mat seedlings N by making its outer periphery in a contact with the upstream part of the seedlings vertically sending belt 41 installed at the lower part of the seedlings-loading stand 26, installing a seedlings-restricting tool 61 having an approximately U-shape from its side view and consisting of an elastic wire material opposing to the seedlings vertically sending belt 41 and while overlapping the upper side arc part 61a of the seedlings-restricting tool 61 with the downstream part of the seedlings vertically sending belt 41 from a back surface view and extending the lower side open end edge 61b of the seedlings-restricting tool 61 up to a position in the vicinity of the seedling-taking out port 35a.
