PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and accurate dimension measuring method of a shape steel for measuring a sectional area shape and dimensions of the shape steel by using a laser range finder. SOLUTION: The laser range finder scans on a correction piece provided vertical to a scanning direction of the laser range finder and dimensional measurement data of the shape steel are corrected based on linearity correction data and/or correction data of inclination angle.
