<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an external preparation for skin which is produced by taking out a water-soluble part from an ume flesh extract and using activated carbon to give an activated carbon treated ume flesh extract from which an insoluble matter, a discolored component and organic acids such as citric acid, malic acid, etc., are selectively removed and mixing the activated carbon treated ume flesh extract with a humectant. <P>SOLUTION: The external preparation for skin having excellent moisture retaining property is obtained by taking out a water-soluble part of an ume flesh extract, firstly adsorbing the water-soluble part on activated carbon, using the ume flesh extract adsorbed on activated carbon, taking advantage of a fact that mumefural and 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural are adsorbed on the activated carbon but not the organic acid such as citric acid, etc., selectively removing citric acid, etc., to give the activated carbon treated ume flesh extract and using both the extract and a humectant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
