<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a wrong detection rate and a detection probability constant regardless of the distance to a target. <P>SOLUTION: This radar system 1 amplifies a received wave, demodulates a pulse, determines its amplitude level, sets the position of a time window, generates the time window, and determines the distance R to the target determined corresponding to the position of the set time window. The radar system 1 determines the number of times X of pulse synchronous addition wherein SNR becomes constant, sets a threshold for fixing P<SB>n</SB>corresponding to the value of X, performs in X times pulse synchronous addition of the amplitude level of the pulse within a time section of the set time window, and determines whether the target is detected or not by a comparison result between the amplitude level of the pulse after the pulse synchronous addition and the set threshold. The radar system 1 updates the position of the time window when the target is not detected, and displays information of the distance R to the target on a display 22 when the target is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
