<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a pedestrian capable capable of restraining output increase of an inflator and capable of preventing dragging-in of the pedestrian by the airbag completed in expansion. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device S for the pedestrian is constituted of the airbag 34 arranged on the lower surface side of a car body 1 on the front side of a front wheel 4 of a vehicle, folded and stored, the inflator 31 to supply gas for expansion to the airbag 34 and a case 14 arranging an opening 14a for projection to store and hold the airbag 34 and to project the airbag 34. The airbag device S for the pedestrian is constituted to expand the airbag 34 by projecting it from the case 14 so as to block a space between a lower surface of a front end part of the car body and the road surface.
