<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method and an evaluation apparatus of a gas sensor for evaluating the state of a base metal coating the measurement electrode of the gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: Mixed gas comprising propane gas, oxygen gas, and nitrogen gas whose flow rate has been adjusted by mass flow controllers 112, 113, 114 is supplied to piping 115 in a reaction furnace section 120 in which the gas sensor 1 is installed as gas to be measured. The flow rate of the propane gas supplied from a propane gas cylinder 102 is made constant, the flow rate of oxygen gas supplied from an oxygen gas cylinder 103 is increased or decreased, the amount of nitrogen gas supplied from a nitrogen gas cylinder 104 is increased or decreased according to the amount of propane gas, and the entire flow rate of the mixed gas supplied from a gas supply section 110 to the piping 115 is made constant. The output value of the gas sensor 1 in this kind of atmosphere is measured, thus evaluating the state of a base metal coating the measurement electrode of the gas sensor 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
