PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer exothermic body high in durability, safety, and chemical resistance, and a manufacturing method of the exothermic body. SOLUTION: In the polymer exothermic body provided with a pair of electrodes 5 pinched by a base side resin film 4 and a cover side resin film 7 and a resistor 6 formed between the pair of electrodes, this is the polymer exothermic body in which a protection member 3 arranged on a face opposite to the electrodes 5 and the resistor 6 of the base side resin film 4 and/or the cover side resin film 7 has a barrier resin film layer 2 on the outer surface side.
