PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of polyimide-metal layer laminate that can satisfy the request of fan pattern machining, has high heat resistance and has improved dimensional stability, will not require pretreatment, or the like, especially before sputtering film formation, and has improved adhesion properties between a metal layer and a polyimide film, and to provide the polyimide-metal layer laminate obtained by the method. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the polyimide-metal layer laminate, a polyimide layer 2 is film-formed on metal foil by a casting method, and a metal layer 4 is formed on the metal foil-removed surface 3 of the polyimide film, obtained by removing the polyimide layer from the metal film by a sputtering method and an electrolytic plating method.
