PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus, a server, a navigation system, a control method, a program, and a storage medium allowing to provide user friendliness, reduce the load on the server, and search for an optimum route. SOLUTION: After setting a destination for one's own vehicle, destination setting information is calculated and is transmitted to a traffic information collecting/providing system. The received information and information on the other vehicle using a similar route are stored in a destination setting information DB. When the other vehicle runs into a traffic jam thereafter, a delay decision function compares an estimated time for passing at the spot to an actual time for passing on the basis of a minimum-time route and a travel time which were calculated. When the delay is a threshold or over, the present position of the other vehicle and the delay time information are transmitted to the traffic information collecting/providing system. After receiving the new traffic jam information, the traffic information collecting/providing system transmits updated traffic jam information to a vehicle which is scheduled to pass through the traffic jam spot in the future.
