PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can remove the cause of decreasing the operation rate of the game machine while allowing the avoidance of failures otherwise associated with the removal. SOLUTION: A sub control circuit 72 selects a background image out of a plurality of predetermined background images both of specified and disadvantageous states and a background image not contained in the plurality of background images in the advantageous state. An image control IC 86 generates an image to be displayed on a liquid crystal display part 2b by synthesizing a plurality of images containing the background images selected by the sub control circuit 72.
