PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly secure a field of view of an occupant and driving operability according to action for adjusting a forward and backward position of an occupant seat according to physiques and the like of the occupant. SOLUTION: In this seat position adjusting device of an automobile, a seat cushion 2 is configured to be slid and displaced in the forward and backward direction of a vehicle body along a slide rail 6 arranged in a compartment in a front upward inclined state. The device comprises a tilt means 9 changing an inclined angle of a seat face by swinging and displacing the seat cushion 2 in connection with an operation for sliding and displacing the seat cushion 2 in the forward and backward direction of a vehicle body. The tilt means 9 is configured to change the inclined angle of the seat face inclined rear-downward to be small, and to increase a change ratio of the inclined angle as the seat cushion 2 approaches to a front position, when the seat cushion 2 is slid and displaced to the front side of the vehicle body.
