PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a mount paper for display capable of stably producing the same that does not allow occurrence of the tunnel phenomenon and has a predetermined peel strength good in workability, and to provide the mount paper for display. SOLUTION: The mount paper for display is obtained by laminating the paper 203 side of a tack paper 500, which is provided with a release paper 300 and an adhesive layer 200 having an adhesive agent layer 204 and papers 202, 203, on one surface of a polystyrene resin foamed body 100 with an aqueous adhesive. Using the tack paper 500 having a water-impermeable layer 201 between the papers 202 and 203, the paper 203 side thereof is laminated on one surface of the polystyrene resin foamed body 100 with the aqueous adhesive.
