PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily obtaining the quantity and direction of movement of each region on a two-dimensional image such as an MPR image. SOLUTION: Two-dimensional image data are obtained consecutively at prescribed time intervals (t), and the value of difference in pixel data of two consecutive two-dimensional image data in the time axis is measured. Then, the pixels whose measured value of difference exceeds the threshold set in advance are extracted, and differential images are produced consecutively. The consecutively produced differential images are composited, and serial differential images, in which shade of old and new differential images is gradated, are produced and displayed in a display device, so that the locus is displayed.
