PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing the hydrolyzing reaction of a phospholipid by using a phospholipase D and a method for performing the interchanging reaction of bases in a good efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for interchanging the bases of the phospholipid comprises a process of performing the reaction of the phospholipid with at least 1 kind of hydroxy group-containing compound selected from a group consisting of an alcohol, a nitrogen-containing alcohol, a sugar, a polyol and a hydroxycyclic compound in the presence of the phospholipase D in a homogeneous phase consisting of acetone and water.
