<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demagnetizing device suitable for a ship formed of a non-conductive material capable of preventing generation of stray magnetic field mainly consisting of a Y-axis element of the magnetic field or minimizing generation of stray magnetic field, and a ship formed of a non-conductive material with the demagnetizing device installed thereon. <P>SOLUTION: Demagnetizing devices 1a-1f comprise sacrifice anodes 2a-2f installed on an underwater portion of a hull 10, and short-circuit lines 3a-3f to short-circuit V-shaped shaft brackets 33-35 to support a portion of a conductive body exposed to water, e.g., a rudder shaft tube 22 and a propeller shaft tube 32 to the sacrifice anodes 2a-2f. The short-circuit lines 3a-3f are installed in the direction substantially orthogonal or inclined to the longitudinal direction of the hull 10, or installed substantially parallel to a propeller shaft by short-circuiting the sacrifice anodes to a portion of the propeller shaft inside the hull 10.
