<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a high accuracy alignment on a sheet handling tray whereon ejected sheets are stacked in alignment, even in a case the sheet size involves dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: Stacking tray 38A whereon the ejected sheets are stacked works taking three positions, the home position c in which the tail in the sheet transporting direction is inclined downward, a first inclining position a where the side with one aligning member 52 in the sheet width direction is positioned below, and a second inclining position b where the side with the other aligning member 51 is positioned below.
