<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving object detector of simple structure capable of reducing a size, and allowing detection even in an outside of a sight range. <P>SOLUTION: This moving object detector is provided with an oscillation circuit 10, a transmission antenna 11, a reception antenna 13, an amplifier 14, detection circuits 12, 15, 16, an A/D converter 19, and a microcomputer 20. The microcomputer 20 transmits a signal, reads a reception signal value in, and determines the presence of a moving object when the reception signal value comes out of a prescribed level range, to be displayed. The moving object detector is capable of reducing the size and manufactured inexpensively. The moving object detector can detect the moving object even in the outside of the sight range where an obstacle such as a wall and a tree exists, differently from a detector using a microwave and an infrared ray, and is wide in a detection range and a detection angle.
