PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp driving device capable of individually detecting each of magnitudes of currents supplied into a discharge lamp from respective driving circuits when lighting of the discharge lamp is controlled by two driving circuits. SOLUTION: This discharge lamp driving device has: a master circuit connected to one electrode of the discharge lamp; a slave circuit connected to the other electrode thereof; and a control circuit 30 for controlling both the circuits. The control circuit 30 separates an alternating current outputted from the master circuit from an alternating current outputted from the slave circuit by using the output of an oscillator 100 and control signals of the respective circuits. In addition, the difference between the magnitudes of the current outputted from the respective circuits is found by using a reference clock and a current difference detection circuit 140.
