PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain exact water discharge control capable of continuing surely water discharge during at least a period when a hand exists in the vicinity of a faucet mechanism. SOLUTION: A controller part 9 judges the presence of the hand 35 intruded into a space area, based on a Doppler signal output from a microwave sensor 7, operates a valve 5 to be opened by outputting a control signal for opening the valve, when judging the presence of the hand 35, and discharges water from the faucet mechanism 3 through a water discharge port 3c. The presence or absence of spattered water is judged, based on the Doppler signal output from a microwave sensor 7, a washing operation for the hand is recognized to be continued when the presence of spattered water is judged, and an opened condition of the valve 5 is held to continue the discharge of water from the faucet mechanism 3 through the water discharge port 3c.
