PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven or knitted fabric having improved pill resistance and dye affinity which are the defects of a conventional combined filament yarn/blended yarn, or a woven or knitted fabric including PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), and also having improved heat insulation efficiency. SOLUTION: The combined filament yarn or blended yarn includes 10-90 wt.% polymer alloy fiber consisting of a sea of easily dissolvable polymer and islands of the polyphenylene sulfide, and regulated so that the content of the polyphenylene sulfide may be 10-60 wt.%, the average diameter of the islands may be 1-1,500 nm, and the proportion of the islands having 1,500-5,000 nm diameters may be 0-5%. The woven or knitted fabric including 5-90 wt.% polymer alloy fiber consisting of the sea of the easily dissolvable polymer and the islands of the polyphenylene sulfide, and having excellent heat insulation properties has 3 or higher grade in the pilling rating based on JIS L-1076, and≥0.7°C m<SP>2</SP>hr/kcal clo value.
