PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold assembling apparatus capable of rationalyzing the position of a tape with a mold without causing contamination or damage on the molding surface of the mold and capable of assembling the mold in a short time. SOLUTION: The mold assembling apparatus is equipped with a first mold holding part 21 for holding a lower mold 11, a second mold holding part 22 for holding an upper mold 12, a computer 53 for storing the preliminarily measured dimensional data of both molds 11 and 12, bar codes 31 respectively provided to both molds 11 and 12 to specify both molds 11 and 12 corresponding to the dimensional data to respectively display mold number data, a reading means 54 for reading the mold number data displayed by the bar codes 31 to transmit them to the computer 53, a relative moving means 5 for relatively moving both molds 11 and 12 and a tape winding means 6 for winding the tape T around the peripheral surfaces of the both molds 11 and 12 relatively moved by the relatively moving means 5.
