PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a plasma display panel capable of securing reliability against the flow of a high-current and concurrently coping with narrowed pitch of an electrode part for providing a high-definition panel. SOLUTION: In mounting a flexible substrate to the plasma display panel, an electrode 2 formed on a glass substrate 1 and having unevenness on the surface, and an electrode 6 of the flexible substrate 5 are overlaid via an adhesive 3. By the heating and the pressing from the upper part of the flexible substrate, the unevenness of the surface of the electrode of the glass substrate bites into the electrode of the flexible substrate so that the joint is performed.
