PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an ink increases the viscosity or adheres to the surrounding of the discharging port of a recording head and a wiping member as a means which performs a discharge recovering process as well, and a factor for the defective discharge of the recording head cannot be removed by wiping, and the discharging state of the ink cannot be kept under a good state. SOLUTION: The recording head is reciprocated while performing a subsidiary discharge of an ink other than the ink having characteristics for easily increasing the viscosity. Thus, a mist which is generated by the discharging motion of the ink is moved to a nozzle surface by an air stream, and reaches the adhered ink section. Thus, the factor for the defective discharge on a head face can be removed by melting it. By performing a normal discharge recovering process after that, the removal of the factor for the defective discharge is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
