摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earphone system in which user's separate operation is obviated by automatically controlling functions of audio equipment and other devices by sensing the state of the attachment/detachment of an earphone. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an earphone system including a device such as audio equipment and an earphone head linked to that device. The system includes: an electrostatic capacitance sensor for detecting an electrostatic capacitance change caused by a human body; an attaching/detaching sensor for discriminating whether the earphone head is attached into the ear or detached therefrom utilizing the electrostatic capacitance change detected by the electrostatic capacitance change sensor; and a signal generator for generating and outputting to the device at least one of a signal for operating the device and a signal for stopping the device in accordance with the sensed result of the attaching/detaching sensor.
