PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an illegal radio device such as a wireless LAN access point device and a wireless LAN terminal, to finds its position, and to physically exclude it. SOLUTION: An illegal access detecting device 2 is connected to a LAN 1 to which wireless LAN access point devices AP1, AP2, and AP3 are connected. Each of the AP1, AP2, and AP3 has a function of receiving not only frames addressed to itself, but also frames addressed to others. Once an illegal wireless LAN access point device APX is connected to the LAN 1, the AP1, AP2, and AP3 each receive a frame including a transmission source address from the APX. Then radio wave intensity at the time of the reception is added to the received frame, which is sent to the illegal access detecting device 2 through the LAN 1. The illegal access detecting device 2 determines that the APX is an illegal device from the transmission source address included in the frame from the AP1, AP2, or AP3 and detects the position of the APX based upon the added radio wave intensity.
