PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for a magnetic field sensor which can surely air-tightly seal a magnetic sensor element, detects and discriminates magnetic record medium stably for a long period and is superior in long term reliability. SOLUTION: The package for the magnetic field sensor is constituted of a base body 1 provided inside with a coil-like conductor 1a pattern and having the first connection pad 4 electrically connecting the loading part where the magnetic sensor element 7 is loaded on one main surface with a coil-like conductor 1a on the other main surface and the second connection pad 5 electrically connecting with the magnetic field sensor element 7, and a ceramic-made lid 6 attached to the one main surface of the base body 1 for air-tightly sealing the magnetic field sensor element 7.
