PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting mold for casting a polycrystalline silicon ingot to inexpensively manufacture a high-quality silicon ingot. SOLUTION: The casting mold for silicon casting has a release material film on the inner surface and functions to melt a silicon source material or hold a silicon melt inside, to solidify and then to cool. The casting mold member of the casting mold is made of a sintered body by sintering a powder essentially comprising silicon dioxide, and the casting mold member shows the thermal conductivity of 1.0 (W/(m×K)) or more at 900°C.
