PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier tape which has only a narrow width at a cut and raised portion, and does not adversely affect a semiconductor device even if a cross sectional area is electrically charged, and to provide a semiconductor device carrier, and a method of producing the carrier tape. SOLUTION: The carrier tape 11 holds the semiconductor devices 3 each having a lead 3a extending from a peripheral portion of a main body 3b, in recesses 11a formed therein, respectively. A projective portion 11d is formed of part of the carrier tape 11 so as to be raised to the periphery of a support portion 11c for supporting a lower surface of the semiconductor device 3, and inserted into a gap between the lead 3b and the main body 3a. Further a conductive layer 11f is formed on a surface of the projective portion 11d. Herein a front end face 11g of the projective portion 11d faces in a direction substantially opposite to the lead 3a when the semiconductor device 3 is stored in the recess 11a.
