PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting head which can prevent defects caused by a liquid leaked from cracks as much as possible even when the cracks are produced while the cracks at liquid chamber empty parts are permitted to diffuse a thermal stress. SOLUTION: The liquid jetting head comprises a passage forming substrate 24 where passage base parts 40 to be ink passages are formed, a nozzle plate where nozzle openings from which ink droplets are delivered are opened, and a sealing plate which seals the passage base parts of the passage forming substrate to define a part of the ink passages. The nozzle plate and the sealing plate are joined to one face and the other face of the passage forming substrate, respectively. A series of the ink passages leading from a common ink chamber through pressure chambers to the nozzle openings is thus formed in a passage unit. A relief groove part 45 is formed proximately to the empty part 41 in a region 24b outside the empty part 41 which defines the common ink chamber in the passage forming substrate. The relief groove part 45 forms an independent space correspondingly to each empty part 41 in a joining state of members which constitute the passage unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
