The manifold has a wall with an inner layer (16) and outer layer (14), where a honeycomb layer (18) is disposed between the inner and outer layers using an adhesive/fastener/welding. The layer (18) is made from a composite material such as carbon fiber composites. The layer (16) is made of a metal such as aluminum. The layer (14) is made from polymer such as synthetic resins such as polyamide, polystyrene and acrylic resins.
