The turning device is for a press with a printing cylinder (1), a turning drum (2) and turning grips (2a, 2b) at the side of the drum to grip the rear edge of a sheet (5). The printing cylinder and the turning drum are arranged so that the turning grips can fit in a grip channel (4a, 4b) formed in the printing cylinder to grip the rear edge of the sheet.
