<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of a translation without deteriorating browsing property. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing part 1 is provided for extracting character data in an image data from an image reading part 6, translating the data to a predetermined language, and adding the character data of the translation result to the image data. The image processing part 1 determines the existence of an invisible print area in the image data, and when the invisible print area does not exist, performs a translation process based on the original text in the visible print area of the image data, an invisible information conversion process for converting visible information of the image data to invisible information, and an image editing process for adding the translation result as visible information to the image data. When an invisible print area does exist, the image processing part 1 performs a translation process based on the invisible information of the invisible print area of the image data, a visible print area deleting process for deleting characters and text in the visible print area of the image data, and an image editing process for adding the translation result as visible information to the image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
